Curtain Collect Limited is a family run business that recycles old lorry/trailer curtains,
also known as tarpaulins/truck tarps.
We will collect all colours and all sizes from anywhere in the UK and take them back to
our workshop in Manchester to process them ready for their new life.
If you have some old tarps lying around or being replaced why not give us a call,
you can cut down on disposal costs, make your environmental footprint smaller
and extend the life cycle of your old curtains.
You will earn a bit of extra cash in the process.

Our Recycling Process

Recycling Process
When the tarps arrive at our workshop in Manchester their new life starts here:
OPERATION 1 : The tarp is spread out on our 50ft long bench/operating table!
OPERATION 2 : We then remove the buckles and rollers from the top and bottom of the tarp.
These are then recycled reducing waste and our environmental footprint.
OPERATION 3 : We then cut off all the damaged and non-usable material from all the edges.
OPERATION 4 : All the webbing and internal pockets are then stripped/removed.
OPERATION 5 : Nearly finished, we cut out any eyelets and damage to the curtain.
OPERATION 6 : Finally, we cut each curtain into 8 ft pieces, fold them and stack them on
euro pallets ready for their journey to Switzerland.

When the tarps arrive at Freitag in Switzerland they will be washed and made into
products that are unique and one of kind.
The finished products are then sold in their on- and offline store.
